Adolphe Trèves founds the company and acquires embroidery machines, then weaving looms. The Company receives awards for its industrial productions during the Paris World Exhibition in 1865.

Citroen produces 30 cars daily on its assembly lines in Paris. Trèves is awarded its first automotive business and delivers its products from its factory in Saint-Quentin in the North of France.

Trèves exclusively produces the roof hoods of the 2CV Citroën, a popular car which achieved a remarkable success over several decades.

In the 1990s, Trèves moved into other continents, including Asia and North and South America. With new plants in Turkey and North Africa, the Group became Global. Trèves know-hows are completed with the acoustic treatment of vehicles.

Bpifrance, the French public investment bank, supports the French automotive industry through the Fonds Avenir Automobile and invests in Trèves.

Trèves is strengthening its identity, its commitment to creating an optimal acoustic environment, and its international presence with the acquisition of ROI in Italy and CTA Acoustics in the United States and Mexico.
